The Center for Development
Management (CDM) is the Asian
Institute of Management’s (AIM)
response to the challenge of
sustaining Asian development.
It is this diversity that makes
learning within the MDM program
a unique academic experience,
unlike any other. It is also MDM
that provides students a gateway
to Asian leadership and
management, and a solid position
within Asian organization
networks.
Being a practitioner-oriented
management institute, another
unique feature of the MDM
program is the Rapid Area
Assessment (RAA) which is the
culminating activity in Module 1
Conducted in low-income
communities in the Philippines,
the RAA provides students the
opportunity to apply their
learning of development
management skills in a
particular area or sectors of
interest.
The Program consists of 3
Modules:
Module 1: Scanning the
Development Environment
understanding Development
Trends, organizations and
Stakeholders understanding the
Languages of Management,
Development and Business.
Module 2: Leadership and
Strategic Management in
Development Applying Management
Experience and Inspiring
Leadership in Affecting
Substantive Change and Reforms.
Module 3: Integrating functional
Skills and Resources Ensuring
Institutionalization and
Sustainability of Development
Efforts in the varied Arenas of
Development.
