AMBASSADOR FERNANDEZ JOINS 3rd QUARTER MEETING
OF ASEAN COMMITTEE IN ISLAMABAD

  
     
  Islamabad, 19 September 2025 - Philippine Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Dr. Emmanuel R. Fernandez, attended the third-quarter meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Islamabad (ACI) held at the Royal Thai Embassy (Thai Chancery) and convened under the chairmanship of Thailand. The gathering brought together heads and representatives of ASEAN missions in Islamabad to review ongoing initiatives and refine the ACI's calendar for the remainder of 2025.

Discussions focused on sharpening the committee's collective outreach with partners in Pakistan, including economic and trade engagement, public-diplomacy programming that showcases ASEAN's shared identity, and coordinated community and consular activities that serve ASEAN nationals. Members also agreed to strengthen working-level coordination to streamline communications and ensure well-executed events through the end of the year.

The Philippines reaffirmed its commitment to collaborate closely with fellow ASEAN missions in advancing practical, well-sequenced activities that support ASEAN-Pakistan ties and reflect ASEAN's tradition of cooperation, mutual support, and friendship.
