ASEAN COMMITTEE IN ISLAMABAD (ACI) VISITS NIFTYSPHERE INSTITUTE OF ARTS AND DESIGN |

Islamabad, 24 September 2025 - The
ASEAN Committee in Islamabad (ACI) visited the Niftysphere Institute of
Arts and Design to learn about the institute's programs in creative
education, entrepreneurship, and cultural promotion. The Philippines was
represented by First Secretary Juan Paolo G. Alix. During the visit, the delegation received an overview of Niftysphere's training portfolio, which spans fashion design, graphic design, textile arts, photography, interior design, and related disciplines. Students undertake three-month, six-month, and one-year tracks culminating in final portfolios that demonstrate readiness for the local and international creative industries. The ACI viewed how Niftysphere integrates classroom instruction with practical experience through live projects, commercial assignments, and exhibitions. The institute partners with national and international institutions, and its programs are recognized by Pakistan's vocational training authorities and several universities. Showcasing cultural exchange, Niftysphere presented student works and fashion collections drawing on motifs from Pakistan and ASEAN countries, alongside collaborations with foreign missions on design competitions and workshops. The institute also outlined plans to establish a degree-granting fashion college by 2028 and expand into STEM education, underscoring its mission to build skills, confidence, and international networks. The ACI expressed appreciation for Niftysphere's contributions to youth empowerment and cross-cultural understanding. |
