PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR GRACES INAUGURATION OF INDONESIAN CORNER AT THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF PAKISTAN

Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez represented the Philippines at the invitation of Indonesian Ambassador H.E. Chandra W. Sukotjo during the inauguration of the Indonesian Corner at the National Library of Pakistan on 27 November 2025 - a flagship event celebrating 75 years of Indonesia-Pakistan bilateral relations. He was accompanied by the Philippine Embassy's Vice Consul Rain Mendoza.

The Indonesian Corner, whose development began in 2023 and was completed in 2024, features an audio-visual section and a growing collection of around 1,000 books highlighting Indonesia's history, culture, and contemporary achievements, alongside select Pakistani titles that reflect the shared intellectual and cultural exchanges between Indonesia and Pakistan. Ambassador Sukotjo warmly encouraged ASEAN Missions to contribute materials to further enrich the collection.

The Philippine Embassy congratulates the Government and people of Indonesia on this meaningful milestone and reaffirms its support for continued ASEAN cultural cooperation and friendship with Pakistan.
